Starbucks-owned Ethos Water exemplifies good faithed community service and philanthropic efforts by large corporations. Whether it’s for the tax write off or not, every purchase sets aside $0.05 to the Ethos Water Fund, supporting water sanitation and hydration services in countries like Tanzania, colombia, and Indonesia.
Ethos tastes clean and its slightly alkaline pH pairs well with coffee. don’t be too impressed as Ethos may as well be your over-the-counter local brand. it’s hardly a luxurious water. I use it as a palette cleanser of sorts so as to deter my coffee breath when speaking to my clients in person.
Ethos has faced controversy, as its source has been noted to come from california, drought-ridden for many years in the recent past. it’s no help that their bottles are fully plastic… so be sure to properly recycle it. the standard plastic bottle comes with a transparent sticker with a world outline & a gentle reminder of its purpose.
